May 2010

Happy Memorial Day. We had a very moving video at church yesterday reminding me what this day means.

On May 20th I had my first CTMH Home Gathering. The hostess, Evelyn, did a great job inviting her guests and we had a great time.

Here are Lisa, Hannah, Kristine and Melanie enjoying the creative process. We all made a cute card using, what else, Cherry-O from the new Idea Book. (It’s my current favorite as I’m sure you’ve already guessed.)

I made a cute little gift tag for a baby shower this week:

Here are a couple of other variations on that same little card:

And a thank you card using the new Splendor paper:

I’m in the process of putting together a monthly card-making club at my home, starting in June or July.  There will be a fee to cover the cost of supplies, or the fee will be waived with a $25 minimum order. Space will be limited – details soon!!

Mother’s Day just happens to be one of my very favorite days of the year. There were quite a few Mother’s Days when I wondered if it would ever be my turn to celebrate as a mom.  Prayers and patience…..it finally happened!

Kelsey and Lindsey in 1998.

Here they are at Disneyland in 2006.

Here are a couple of cards I made this week. For some reason, the new Cherry-o paper from Close To My Heart is all I really want to work with at the moment. It’s so CUTE!

This is my mom’s Mother’s Day card. I used a design from the new Summer Idea Book for my inspiration.

This is my version of a Flower Pot card, something I have seen many people post on their blogs. You can find a tutorial for making this card at Splitcoast Stampers. I just adapted it using CTMH products. It was a lot of fun to make and I am working on some more – the imagination runs wild!

Today the Summer Idea Book for Close To My Heart goes live!

Here are some cards I have made this week. You can see I love Cherry-O!!

On this card I used Cherry-O paper, brown cardstock, A Posy stamp set, tulip and sweet leaf ink, Colonial White ric-rac and Tulip brads.

Oh the fun I had making this card….I used my new Cricut! I cut the scallop circle in Tulip cardstock, and two more circles using Chocolate cs and Colonial White cs. The stamp is from a new set called Live Inspired -so beautiful. The paper is Cherry-O Creative Basics.

The inspiration for this card came this morning as I was going through a CTMH May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. Wow, those blog hops are great for ideas. Thanks to fellow CTMH consultant Traci Godbee for this idea. This one features one of the stamps from the May SOTM (stamp of the month) set – Cherish the Moment. It’s only available during the month of May.

If you want to see the new Summer Idea Book just click on the CTMH link and look at the online version.  Feel free to contact me if you see anything you must have!

This last card is the one I made my husband for his birthday last week. I like how simple it is and the way I was able to personalize it using the last part of the word birthday to make the word Ray.

Thanks for looking!
